Maintenance Worker (Roads)
Job description
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing routine tasks related to road and pavement maintenance. The main goal is to ensure the functionality, safety, and efficiency of facilities under construction and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hand excavation / Cable laying / pulling in existing installations
- Road and pavement restoration / laying paving stones
- Work heights not exceeding 4m.
- String wire conductors and cables between poles, trenches, pylons, and buildings.
- Lay and secure fiber optic cables in trenches, ducts, or on poles
- Performing minor repairs to the building, data, telecommunications, HVAC installations, plumbing, electrical and painting works. Adherence to Safety Rules:
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Experience in maintenance, manual work, or other related fields.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Good manual skills and problem-solving ability.
- Basic understanding of electrical, data, hydraulic, and other systems.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Education:
- Secondary education or equivalent is desirable.
- Vocational education or certificates in related fields will be an additional advantage.
